About Me

Hello!  My name is Sarah and I wear many hats!  I am a mother to two adorable children - one girl and one boy!  I married the love of my life on June 30, 2018 and we have 1 dog {Wisco} and 2 cats {Chaplin & Gretzky}.  We live in Minnesota and enjoy summer as much as we can (Winter is VERY long here!)!

We are expecting Boy - Girl Twins on April 8, 2020!

I am a 1st grade teacher this year.  I graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Elementary Education in 2005.  I taught 2nd grade from 2005-2006 in Indiana.  We then moved to Minnesota, where I opened an in-home daycare for children 6 weeks through school-age.  I operated a daycare from 2007-2013.  In 2013, I decided to return to the classroom, as that had always been a dream of mine!  My children were both ready to attend school full-time and I was eager to get out of the house!  I taught 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade at Chanhassen Elementary before helping to open Carver Elementary in 2017.  At Carver Elementary I have taught 1st and 2nd grade multi-age and am now a 1st grade teacher.

I enjoy teaching, scrapbooking, sewing, crafting with my kids, being outdoors, camping, kayaking, swimming and bonfires!
